Interdisciplinary Forum
It is an annual event – a one day-long seminar during which students deliver their presentations on one topic approached from various perspectives of the subjects they study i.e. Biology, Physics, Visual Arts, English, Polish etc. in accordance with a general trend in the world of academia – to understand things holistically.
The Interdisciplinary Forum had already three editions and it is to teach students many skills. For example, how to present a topic in an attractive way, so the audience is active listeners. How to share knowledge, creativity, expertise with fellow students, and how to be creative in one’s presentation. This is why all forms of presentation are permitted e.g. a traditional lecture, a role play, a quiz, a film, a theater piece, an artistic performance, a fashion show.
It has become a tradition that an invited guest speaker opens the sessions with a lecture on the theme of the Forum. Teachers and parents can be plenary speakers and are always invited to participate. This year our guest speaker was prof. Waldemar Baraniewski with a topic: Transgression in Art.
