IB World School no 061201
Warsaw Montessori High School (WMHS) offers International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme (IB DP) since 2020.
International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IB DP)
The IB Diploma Programme (IB DP) was established in 1968 to provide international education to students who live in various countries and to provide them with skills and attitudes to better understand the complexities of the world. The Diploma Programme is a challenging and academically balanced programme for students aged 16 to 19 widely recognised by the world’s leading universities.
IB DP is a two-year course which helps students to be inquisitive, knowledgeable, and compassionate individuals in an international environment. A holistic approach to education is a major distinction between the national educational programme and the IB programme.
Teaching and learning in the IB programme is a mixture of inquiry, action, and reflection on the part of both students and teachers. Students have the opportunity to collaborate with others and to develop intellectually and emotionally.
The IB DP is highly regarded as a degree by the top universities all over the world. Obtaining the IB Diploma requires meeting the conditions set by the International Baccalaureate Organisation.
Structure of the programme
Students are required to study six subjects which they choose from six academic areas and a curriculum core that consists of CAS (Creativity, Activity, Service), TOK (Theory of Knowledge), and EE (Extended Essay) over a two-year period.
CAS stands for
