Pre IB 1 & pre IB 2 – trip to Cracow
On the first day of the trip we saw the exceptional exhibition of Jacek Malczewski’s paintings organized on the occasion of the ongoing Year of Romanticism. After a short walk through the streets of Cracow at the end of the day we reached the famous Main Square.
The second day was full of attractions. In the morning we visited Schindler’s Factory Museum where we got acquainted with the difficult history of Cracow during World War II. We also saw places that were immortalized in Spielberg’s film masterpiece “Schindler’s List”. Afterwards we visited a permanent exhibition at the MOCAK Museum of Contemporary Art. The last point on our agenda was a visit to the WOMAI center where in complete darkness we participated in an exhibition aiming at familiarizing us with daily life of visually impaired people.
Our visit to Cracow would not be complete without trying one of the local delicacies. Therefore on the last day we visited the Living Museum of Obwarzanek where students participated in the workshops on making famous Cracovian bagels and got acquainted with the rich history of its production in Poland.
