Are there still any free places in the first grade (Pre-IB1) for the 2025/2026 school year?
After the entrance exams in March and the completion of the recruitment process, there are only 2 free places remaining in the first grade – Pre-IB1.
Due to the high interest in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IB DP) at Warsaw Montessori High School this year, we are considering the possibility of creating an additional first-grade class.
Interested parties are kindly requested to contact the school’s secretariat.
Are there still any free places in the second grade (Pre-IB2)?
For the 2025/2026 school year, we can accept a maximum of 2 additional students into the Pre-IB2 class.
Could you describe the supplementary recruitment process?
If a significant number of applications are submitted, we will consider holding additional exams at the end of May.
In the case of individual applications, the exams will be conducted individually.

What’s the deadline for sending applications?
Due to the small number of remaining spots, early contact is advised.
Will there be supplementary Open Days scheduled?
Should there be significant interest, we will consider scheduling an additional Open Day at Warsaw Montessori High School in May. Those interested in attending an Open Day are kindly requested to complete the form.
Is the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme the only program offered at Warsaw Montessori High School?
In the first and second grades, Warsaw Montessori High School implements its own Pre-IB program, which combines elements of the Polish national curriculum with the values defined by the IB Learner Profile and prepares students for the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.
In the third and fourth grades, we exclusively offer the certified International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IB DP), which culminates in the final IB Diploma examinations (international baccalaureate).
Does Warsaw Montessori High School offer a mathematics and physics profile, a humanities profile, or a biology and chemistry profile?
In the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IB DP), there are no “profiles” in the same sense as in the Polish education system (e.g., humanities profile, mathematics and physics profile).
IB Diploma Programme students choose six subjects from different groups: Studies in Language and Literature (native languages), Language Acquisition (foreign languages), Individuals and Societies (social sciences), Sciences (experimental sciences), Mathematics, and the Arts. Three subjects are chosen at the Higher Level and three at the Standard Level.
This structure of the IB DP allows for the creation of an individual academic pathway reflecting the interests and plans of each student, while also ensuring a broad education at the high school level. What is the ideal candidate profile? What kind of candidates are we looking for?
We welcome motivated and open-minded candidates who think independently and critically, and above all, are willing to take responsibility for themselves. These are the personality traits we particularly focus on during the final stage of recruitment, which is an individual interview in English based on a holistic approach to the student.

Is it possible to retake the entrance exam?
Each case is considered individually, depending on the reasons for not passing the exam on the first attempt (e.g., health issues, circumstances beyond the candidate’s control).
Czy szkoła bierze pod uwagę wyniki egzaminu ósmoklasisty lub oceny ze szkoły podstawowej?
No. For us, the results of our entrance exams and the candidate’s personality are what matter.
Is it possible to join the Pre-IB program after the first year of a Polish public high school?
Yes, we welcome candidates from all systems – Polish (from public and private schools), British (IGCSE), IB (MYP program), as well as from French or German schools. The advantage of our Pre-IB program is that we tailor classes to the needs of students and focus on preparing them as well as possible for the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IB DP), regardless of their previous educational paths and experiences.
What level of English is required?
For the first grade (Pre-IB1): B1/B1+ For the third grade (IB DP): B2+ in the case of English B HL (English as a foreign language), C1/C2 in the case of English A (English as a native language), although in this case, reference to the CEFR is not entirely reliable, as it’s not about the ability to use the language, but rather the ability to navigate within that language and its cultural codes, as well as in literature.
Are laureates of subject competitions exempt from the entrance exams?
Yes, in Polish, English, and mathematics.
