A workshop in the “Kultour” series
On October 30, 2020, class 2B students took part in another workshop in the “Kultour” series. We are very proud that the students of our school are included in the exclusive group of 10 classes in Poland, which have a chance to participate in this series of meetings. Today’s workshop tried to answer the question “Where do exhibitions come from?”
During the workshops conducted by the employees of the educational departments of Zachęta – the National Gallery of Art and the Powszechny Theater in Warsaw, students had a unique opportunity to take part in a virtual tour around the scenes of these institutions. We learned how an art gallery deals with the storage, presentation and processing of such a large number of works of art on a daily basis. The theater educator invited us to the decoration warehouse, tailoring workshops and other mysterious places in the theater.
In the second part of the workshop, we had the opportunity to develop a technical implementation of exemplary artistic activities in practice. It turned out that our ideas were in no way different from those of professional art curators.
