National Education Day
On Wednesday, October 14th, the students were happy to honour National Education Day by welcoming the new first grade class to Warsaw Montessori High School.
The second grade students organized a special welcome for their new colleagues. Students from the first grade started their day with an unusual Chemistry lesson run by three students.
Then they were surprised by the second graders with a display of artistic plates in the style of Judy Chicago’s Dinner Party at the Brooklyn Museum. These handmade plates were organized in a triangular fashion a la Chicago’s installation and each was crafted with the recipient in mind.
Later, students were presented with a variety of puzzles in the popular escape room form, and then partook in a gigantic board game of Mensch ärgere Dich nicht (a variation of ludo and parcheesi).
Hopefully this memorable day will bring the students of these two grades closer so that they can support each other in their endeavour through the International Baccalaureate and create lasting friendships.
